I reached out to Alex to ask if this was normal, but I received no response. Meanwhile, my neighbour had their windows replaced at the same time by a different company, and theirs are flawless with no moisture at all.
It is extremely frustrating to have spent almost thousand of $$$ on windows that are already showing issues. I truly expected better quality and better customer service.
We had another company come by to give us a quote and it was almost double the price but for less windows and a lot less features. Alex gave his recommendations but it was ultimately our decision. Of course we went with his recommendations though! He didn't pressure us into getting new doors, he even checked them out and said they were still good. When we decided, we just reached out to him again and he had someone come and measure out the windows and within 5 weeks, our installation was booked! I'm just glad my Uncle stopped us from goin with the other company and got us to talk to Alex.
When we got our windows installed, the men working on them were amazing! Very polite and hardworking guys. Our house looks 1000x better with our new windows installed. They did such a great job! Clean up was great too, it's like they weren't even here.
If you're looking to get new windows and/or doors, I highly recommend them!

Update as of Aug 15 2023: this has still not been resolved. Update Sept 10th 2023: I just saw that SmartTech responded to me through the Reviews here asking me to contact them to arrange an appointment to view the work. (Very strange, as they have my name, address, ph # and email.)
Update March 27, 2024 I contacted SmartTech 2 more times to arrange the appointment to view the work, and no one got back to me. Still no resolution.
I HIGHLY recommend SmartTech. They are significantly superior to their competitors.
We purchased two exterior doors from them which were installed November 2022. After the initial payment, we received multiple calls that they couldn't get any of our choices in, so we had to settle for something else - whatever, not a big deal, it's a door.
We didn't have any issues with the door initially but as time went on, it was becoming more and more hard to shut the door. This winter we noticed there was a vertical split in the middle of the slab.
After multiple calls and emails that went unanswered, we finally got through to someone via text and an installer came out to look at it. He slapped some wood putty in split and said he would take it back to the warranty department.
After several weeks of unsuccessful contact, I opened a case with BBB as I didn't know what else to do. At this point the company responded with "the split it was self-inflicted therefore we will not replace it"
How could a split like this in a steel door be self-inflicted? So much for "lifetime warranty"
Please stay far away from this business.
EDIT/UPDATE - with another winter our door continues to get worse. It is now not sealing properly letting ice and snow in. Reached out again to the company with no response. Very disappointed to have essentially useless $2000 doors.

The new basement windows that we got installed make a world of difference in keeping the heat out, and keeping the cool in and visa versa. Taking our estimator’s advice in staying with triple pane windows was a wise choice. The installers were right on time and had all the basement windows removed and the new ones installed by the end of the day. We also just got our new bathroom window replaced and what a difference having the triple pane argon filled window. The overall cost was very competitive with our other quotes, including reading the reviews which were highly influential in picking this company over the others.

Excellent quality windows that look great! They also had the lowest price out of 8 quotes. Olga was incredibly helpful and responsive when I had any questions or concerns. She even came out with her boss when I thought something was incorrect after the install. It turned out I just wasn’t aware how the window operated. They were just happy I was happy and didn’t seem to mind making the extra trip. Would hire them again.

After getting a few estimates from different companies I had Alex come from SmartTech and give me an estimate. It was by far the best estimate so I went with them. I had them install a patio door where I formerly had only a window. I am very happy with the work they did and the new door that they put in is wonderful. The employees who did the installation knew what they were doing and were quick and efficient. I’m very happy with my new door and would definitely recommend SmartTech.

Very professional. They came first and gave me a quote which was a fair price and a date when they would come back. Right on schedule they came with a big well coordinated crew and finished the whole job in half a day to perfection. Should also note they came to Brandon from Winnipeg when a local company said they were coming and never showed up.

We had a new Living Room Window installed by Smart Tech Windows on Sept 8th 2023.
Crew arrived promptly at 8 am and Alex was the head of the crew and really knew his business.Total install took 1 1/2 hours only and the crew cleaned up very professionally.Window looks great and over $1,000 cheaper than all other quotes.
Would highly recommend Smart Tech to anyone considering new windows.

From the day in which I called for a estimate they handled every step regarding testing the current insulation values in the entire house including the attic. We discussed which type of windows best for each room which included changes to some existing old windows. On the installation data the crew took extra precautions when in the house. Reason being i had just completed new flooring. I have no complaints whatsoever. Professional and easy to talk to. Again like I said when all windows we’re completed thankyou.
